Privacy Policy
Note: This website was created as part of a project at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and serves exclusively academic purposes.
Personal Data
We collect, process, and use your personal data only with your consent or commissioning for the purposes agreed upon with you, or if another legal basis in accordance with the GDPR exists; this is done in compliance with data protection and civil law provisions. Only personal data required for the execution and processing of our services or which you have voluntarily provided to us is collected. Personal data includes all data containing individual details about personal or factual circumstances, such as name, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, age, gender, social security number, video recordings, photos, voice recordings of individuals, and biometric data such as fingerprints.
Information and Deletion
As a customer or generally as a data subject, you have the right at any time to information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, as well as a right to correction, data transfer, objection, restriction of processing, and blocking or deletion of incorrect or illegally processed data. Should your personal data change, we request notification accordingly. You have the right at any time to withdraw consent granted for the use of your personal data. Your request for information, deletion, correction, objection, and/or data transfer—in the latter case, provided it does not cause disproportionate effort—can be sent to the address listed under the contact information. If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection laws or that your data protection claims have been violated in any other way, you may contact the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
Data Security
The protection of your personal data is carried out through appropriate organizational and technical precautions. These precautions particularly concern protection against unauthorized, unlawful, or accidental access, processing, loss, use, and manipulation. Despite efforts to maintain a consistently high standard of care, it cannot be ruled out that information you disclose to us over the internet may be viewed and used by others. Please note that we therefore assume no liability whatsoever for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission not caused by us and/or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g., hacking of email accounts or telephones, interception of faxes).
Use of Data
We will not process the data provided to us for purposes other than those covered by your commission, your consent, or otherwise by a provision in accordance with the GDPR. Exceptions to this include use for statistical purposes, provided the data made available has been anonymized.
Transfer of Data to Third Parties
To fulfill your commission, it may be necessary to forward your data to third parties (e.g., Content Delivery Networks, software procurement, etc.). Your data will only be forwarded on the basis of the GDPR, in particular to fulfill your commission or based on your prior consent. Some of the aforementioned recipients of your personal data are located outside your country or process your personal data there. The level of data protection in other countries may not correspond to that of Austria. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection.
Notification of Data Breaches
We endeavor to ensure that data breaches are identified early and, where appropriate, reported immediately to you or the competent supervisory authority, including the respective categories of data affected.
Retention of Data
We will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations and to defend against any liability claims.
